Picnic and Concert in the Park

Tonight we packed our dinner and headed to a concert at the East Cobb Park.

We had sandwiches, apples, chips, and plenty of things to drink in the heat!

The park hosts what they call the Ultimate Playdate in the Park every week. It is basically a great way to get outside and enjoy music and the company of other people. There were several families and tons of children Nate’s age that were singing and dancing on stage.

Here is our sweet man dancing

Nate had a blast just being outside and running around! That boy has more energy than Julia and I together! He slap wore us out!

Now off to bed…AT 9:15PM!

More painting fun!

Today we pulled out our easel and painted like Picasso.  Don’t you love the shirt? They must have painted at school because he came home in that with markers/paint all over it so we left it on!

Here is the finished product! I love it!

He had a blast and believe it or not, I got more paint on me than he did. He dropped the paint well on my leg. haha. I got a rainbow leg and really wish I would have thought to take a picture to share!

Thanks!

Mrs. Sue and Mr. Mike (my Mama and Daddy. Yes, I am 21 and still call my parents Mama and Daddy Smile) sent Nate a book and some firefighter stickers home with me this weekend. He enjoyed them!

We put our stickers on a sheet of cardstock.

I pointed to each picture and wrote Nate’s response. When I pointed to the firetruck Nate said “open door”. When I pointed to the firemen dragging hose he said “Walkin’ walkin’”. For helmet he said “hat”. He is so smart!

They also bought Nate a subscription to National Geographic Kids since he loved it so much when we went to the library! If you missed that post, here it is!

Mama also sent home goodies for Julia and I. She sent homemade chicken and gravy and homemade stuffing! It was so yummy and the extra plus is the fact that all we had to do was pop it in the oven and wait. No prep since Mama had already taken care of it for us!!

Thanks so much, Mrs. Sue and Mr. Mike!!

XOXO, Suzi and Nate
