Ahhhh. A day late!

I thought I posted this yesterday, but I obviously deleted it! Sad smile

Nate and I had a good day! We went to school, came home and ate lunch, and then made some yummy pasta salad for Teacher Appreciation at school today.

He had a blast stirring the pasta! He kept saying “stir, stir, stir”.

Nate then played with his play-doh Breakfast toy. There were molds to make toast, waffles, smoothies and even fruit. He had a blast. We took this picture for his “book” entry today!

What a handsome boy!

Later on that night, to get his mind off of his Mama leaving, we made muffins for our friends Ms. Julie, Mr. Brian, Rebecca, and Margaret across the street. They made us brownies the night before and brought them to us. So it was only fair! Smile

Hope to update this daily of our daily activities, not only for me to look back on but for his family all over the state(and nation!).

XOXO Suzi

Let’s take a moment of silence…

to reflect on the fact that I, Suzi Mastrario, am now a SENIOR in college! Yeap, you read that right! I will be graduating from VSU next MAY! Hooray!

I  have worked so hard to get where I am and have often thought about quitting altogether!(Ask my Mama! Shout out to the best Mama in the world who has numerous times talked me down from it! Love you, Mama!) But I know those children will make all of the hard work worth it! If it weren’t for my practicum students(for the non-education majors out there, they are the students in the classes that I am assigned to every semester!) I probably wouldn’t have stuck with it! Those bright eyes, big hugs, hunger to learn, and most of all their sweet smiles have made every breakdown about lesson plans WELL worth it!

No doubt it will continue to be hard, but I am SO close to graduation maybe that can get me through it!

So I’ll be wearing one of these(maybe not in red, bleh!)

and maybe munching on one of these with my teacher name- Miss Mastrario- on it! (Hint Hint-talented sisters!)

Later gators. Got to head back to school to get my Nater!

XOXO Suzi

Oh what fun it is to ride….

Nate and I had a great day! I drove this morning to school with Julia and Nate! It was a relief after I made it there! I was so nervous about traffic in the big city but it wasn’t bad at all! After school we had nap time and when he woke up Julia was working.

Nate and I ate a snack and went outside to paint! He had a blast and made Mama some pretty pictures! He also finger painted his book for school. I will have an entire post on his school book sometime in the future…complete with pictures!

Here is my sweet man painting!

After that we played on the hammock and he LOVED IT! He also drove his Dodge Charger Police Cruiser up and down he driveway a million times! He is OBSESSED with cars and tractors….but since we have no tractors he really likes cars! When we get "home each day he says “Mama car”, "White car”(for my car) and “Nate’s car”(for his police car!). It’s PRECIOUS!

This is Nate’s car!

I am enjoying spending time with him and getting to know he and Julia more! We have been working on learning to say Suzi. He knows who I am when we ask “Where’s Suzi?” , “Who’s car is the white car?”, or “Who is this(pointing to me)?”, but it’s a hard one for him to pronounce! We’ll get it though! I’ll be happy no matter what he calls me!

Driving his car! He is a great driver! He can whip that car in reverse with no problems!

Marietta

I made it to Marietta last night and just hung out with Julia and Nate.

This morning we took a drive to Atlanta to Nate’s school and they gave me a quick tour and I got to meet his teachers. We grabbed some lunch then had therapy and headed home for a nap!

After his nap Julia took me for a mini tour of Marietta. She showed me the Kroger, Publix, Whole Foods, all of the teacher supply/educational toy stores, and retail stores within like a ten minute drive of their house! LOVE! Smile

I got to spend some alone time with my sweet boy tonight while Julia stepped out for dinner with a friend. Since she is leaving Wednesday I am sure it was well needed!

I am so excited about this opportunity. I will share plenty of pictures of Nate over the summer!
