A day late!

Yesterday after school we came home to grab a quick bite to eat and a short nap and headed out to swim lessons with Mrs. Linsey. Nate enjoyed swimming and we got ice cream afterwards.

We ate at a place I have never been before but it was good! It was like almost every other froyo place I’ve been to!

Here is our yummy combinations. He got cookies and cream (he calls it chocolate) froyo with iced animal crackers, sprinkles, and sour gummy worms. I got dulce de leche froyo with strawberries and strawberry and passion fruit “beads”. I don’t know the true name for the beads lol.

Here is my handsome date!

We played in the yard with my top down. He is so smart! He recognizes convertibles even without the top down now. We always point them out to each other. I’ll even catch myself when I’m alone pointing out the convertibles only to realize that he’s not there lol.

He made me so proud when he said my last name tonight! I love my smart baby boy!

I probably won't be posting tonight. I've not been feeling well so as soon as I get my little man all tucked in for the night I'll probably hit the sack to! 

Calling all elephants!!

Nate and I went to the zoo today! Couldn’t wait to share pictures and a few videos!

He liked petting the goats and sheep!

I even managed to get him to take a picture in the face-in-hole at the Meercat exhibit!

He kept telling me these were baby giraffes!

We had to see the zebras for my sake!!

His favorite exhibit was the elephants! He loved them and we kept going back to see them again and again!

I’d really like to go back sometime next week! Since Julia has a membership we can go as often as we like. I love the relaxing feeling of going and seeing a little bit at a time with the option of always coming back again to look at more. It’s not as overwhelming of a trip and Nate LOVES it! He woke up so perky this afternoon from nap. All I had to say was zoo and that booger bounced out of bed and headed downstairs for his shoes!

The “broken” tire.

After nap today Nate and I decided to go to the library to look at books and check some new ones out. That is always fun and now that he is older he can appreciate books more. On our way to the library we had a tire  blow out.

Well y’all know as well as I that when it comes to cars my Daddy spoils me. He is always the first person I call and he will ALWAYS come to the rescue to fix whatever is wrong. Being an hour away in Valdosta is hard but 2 1/2 hours away in Marietta is even harder for him to rescue me. So I decided to “man up” and change my tire myself. I have seen it done a million times it can’t be that hard! Just kidding.

After a few hours (okay maybe it was seconds- but it felt like hours) of trying to get the lug nuts unscrewed a sweet gentleman drove up behind me and said that he saw me hit the storm drain and wanted to check on me and he offered to change the tire. This man was dressed in nice clothes. I would hate for him to get his khakis and nice button up shirt dirty so I told him I would call AAA and get them to come help. He refused and got to work on my tire. He had an electric ratchet and had the old tire off and new one on in ten minutes! I was greatly impressed! Nate was so sweet and told the man “Thanks for fixing Miss Suzi’s tire!” before he left! I am so thankful for nice people!

Nate kept talking about my broken tire all afternoon. He couldn’t wait to show Julia my broken tire after we got home. I am thankful that we were safe and for people who do good deeds!

Happy Father’s Day!

I celebrated several special fathers in my life this weekend! First and foremost being MY daddy! He has always been there for me and can do ANYTHING to a car! He loves his girls and they love him! Here is a picture of my sweet daddy on Father’s Day 2011 with his three girls after church!

The second daddy I am celebrating this weekend is my Bubb. My brother-in-law is an awesome daddy and I am thankful to have him in my life! I have always wanted a brother and I got a mighty amazing one when he and my sister started dating eleven years ago! God definitely broke the mold when he made him! I could never have asked for a better husband for my sister and father for Wyatt! He is awesome! Here is a picture of my Bubb and the handsome young man that made him a daddy thirteen and a half months ago!

David is another dad that holds a special place in my heart! He and Liam have been so good to me and I’ve enjoyed having them in my life recently!
